JOSEPH SHROCK
Joseph Shrock, Owner
Joseph Shrock is a true businessman. He is proud that the Shrock Family of Companies is firmly rooted in the Christian faith and Amish tradition. His companies uphold a code of values including respect for others, integrity, customer focus, and having fun throughout the process! His vision for his companies is to be a place where gratitude, loyalty, and a positive attitude are expressed and where daily challenges become opportunities. He desires himself and his team to use our God-given talents to be of service to our families, our customers, and our community.
Joseph Shrock began in the building industry as a teenager with his father, Melvin. He officially acquired the family company in 1984 with a goal of transforming it into a first-class, superior custom construction company. Joseph Shrock soon developed a reputation second to none for delivering quality results on time. His spirit of entrepreneurship and love of community eventually led Joseph to branch out and establish each unique Shrock Division. And as Joseph always says, whatever product we produce or service we perform, we are “in the people business!”
The Shrock Family of companies has grown to include Shrock Premier Custom Construction, Shrock Cabinets, Rainbow Restoration by Shrock Premier, Shrock Excavating, Shrock Engineering, The Mohican Country Market, Mohican Lawn Structures, Mohican Coffee Shop, and Shrock Real Estate.
ROY KAUFFMAN
Roy Kauffman, Project Manager
Prior to working with Shrock, Roy worked with one of central Ohio’s leading Log home builders designing, pricing, and working one on one with clients. Since 2012, Roy has been working for Shrock Premier Custom Construction and has earned his way up to General Manager for a nationally awarded and recognized construction team. And even though balancing the numbers & keeping the wheels turning forward on multiple projects is his daily thrust, Roy still loves the opportunity to work one on one with clients.
Roy possesses a great ability to listen to and remember the desires and needs of his clients. He is an expert in timelines and knows what it takes to get the job done. He has a keen sense of budgeting that makes sense for both client and company. Roy is excellent in keeping communication lines open between Shrock Premier and the client, and he works to ensure the delivery of a superb product in a timely manner. When the pressure is the greatest, that is when Roy is at his best! His ultimate desire is complete customer satisfaction on all levels.
SAM SHROCK
Sam Shrock, Owner
As the only son of Joseph Shrock, Sam has been immersed in the realm of entrepreneurship since he could walk. Together with his father, he plays an integral role in leading multiple companies under the Shrock umbrella.
Sam’s journey in business began with hands-on experience in the field, spending a decade honing his skills in construction and development. From laying the foundation to overseeing complex projects, He has gained extensive knowledge that forms the backbone of his expertise today.
Transitioning from hands-on fieldwork to a strategic focus, Sam now spends a significant portion of his time on business development, shaping the culture, and charting the future direction of Shrock. One of his deepest passions lies in nurturing and empowering his people. Sam believes that investing in his team not only drives individual growth but also fuels the collective success of our endeavors.
Sam enjoys traveling the world and is an avid outdoorsman who loves physically challenging adventures. Sam married his best friend Leah in June of 2020 and their daughter, Mylah Saige, was born in 2023.
CLIFF CONNER
Cliff Conner, Excavation Team Project Manager/Estimator
The Shrock Excavation Division has grown significantly over the past few years, therefore, Cliff Conner’s job is no small task. Often, there aren’t enough hours in the day to accomplish everything that Cliff would like to complete. He is in constant demand overseeing multiple projects, while also working to attain new ones. He strives to make sure each project keeps moving smoothly forward in a timely manner, keeps on budget, and has everything necessary onsite to get the job done. All the while, he is seeking and bidding towards future Shrock projects. Other than being a professional multi-tasker, Cliff is licensed in commercial trucks, water service mains, rigging and signals. He also holds a water sewer contractor’s license.
Cliff loves the challenge of working for the Shrock Excavation Division. He takes pride in the work that his team produces , from the quality of the work completed to the values which propel the Shrock Family of Companies. Cliff also enjoys being thoroughly involved with each project and watching them first hand from start to finish. He was born and raised in Millersburg, Ohio where he still resides with his wife, Tiffany, and two daughters. Excavation is important in Cliff’s life, however, his greatest joy in life is watching his girls in all of their various sports and school activities.
DAN HOUSER
Dan Houser, General Manager
Dan Houser has been with Shrock since 2018. He is a graduate from Thomas Edison State College with a BSBA in Business management. His time is mainly spent estimating projects and then overseeing them through completion. He loves building relationships with his customers and making sure their projects move quickly and efficiently. Dan loves both commercial and residential projects. Each offers their own unique challenges that are exciting to work through.
When not working, Dan enjoys the great outdoors. He loves fishing, hunting, camping, and boating. He also likes spending time in the kitchen making delicious meals.
He is happily married to his much better half, Rachel. They live in Mount Vernon and have greatly enjoyed some of the projects Shrock has been involved in to help beautify Mount Vernon.
