Black Box Theater at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio

Shrock Construction was hired to build a larger replacement for the former Black Box Theater which was demolished to make way for a modern village market with student apartments above.

• The new Black Box is an experimental theater of 2000 square feet of which 900 square feet is performance space.
• The space was intentionally designed for flexibility with modern technology.
• The theater seats about 75 spectators and has a green room, a storage room, and fully accessible restrooms.
